Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh transfer with a private driver
Many trips to Egypt pair Cairo with the Red Sea: the city first, then a beach stay in Sharm El Sheikh. This transfer covers that second step by road, about 490–510 km from Cairo to any hotel in Sharm or to Sharm El Sheikh airport (SSH). It suits families with plenty of luggage, groups who would rather share one car than buy several seats, and anyone who simply prefers to watch Sinai go by from the window. You choose the exact car from its photo, a local provider supplies it with a driver, and the price covers the whole vehicle. Sending the request is free, nothing is charged online, and the booking step shows whether you pay the driver or the provider. Once the provider confirms, the trip is set. The travel time the provider has set for this long drive is shown above, alongside the live price.

Under the Suez Canal and down the Sinai coast
The route leaves Cairo towards Suez, crosses under the Suez Canal through the Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel near Suez and enters Sinai. From there it runs south along the Gulf of Suez coast of the peninsula all the way to Sharm El Sheikh, about 490–510 km in total. It is one of the longest road transfers you can book here, and a different coast from the Gulf of Aqaba side, where Dahab and Nuweiba lie.
Expect police and military checkpoints on the Sinai highways. Officers may ask for passports and visas, so keep them in the cabin for everyone in the car, children included.
Your car, your Cairo pickup, your hotel in Sharm
Give your pickup address in Cairo, usually your hotel, and say where you are going: Sharm El Sheikh airport, or your hotel in Naama Bay, Nabq Bay, Sharks Bay, the Old Market area or Hadaba. The local provider receives the request and confirms it.
Every listing shows the real vehicle with its own photo and seat count, so you can pick a car with room for a whole family's holiday luggage. The driver is included and the price is per vehicle, not per passenger. Nothing is paid online; the booking step shows whether you pay the driver or the provider. If the trip ends at the airport, add your flight number so the provider can plan around your departure. Each car shows whether a child seat can be provided on request, which matters on a drive this long.
Visa, passport and planning tips
Cairo lies outside the free Sinai-only stamp, which covers the Sharm, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba resorts for eligible nationalities but not Cairo or mainland Egypt. So if you are combining Cairo and Sharm, make sure you hold the entry permission Cairo needs for your nationality before you set off, and carry the passport it is in.
Use the travel time the provider set, shown above, to plan your day. Arriving at a Sharm hotel? Check its check-in time and choose a Cairo pickup time that fits. Heading to SSH for a flight? Allow plenty of time before check-in on top of the travel time. On a drive this long, keep water, snacks and whatever the children need in the cabin, and mention in the request if you would like a break on the way.
