The road from Sharm to Dahab
The route follows the main highway north from Sharm El Sheikh along the Gulf of Aqaba side of the peninsula. From the airport the car joins the highway north; from a hotel further south, in Naama Bay, Hadaba or the Old Market, the driver first crosses Sharm.
The total distance is roughly 90–100 km, depending on where in Sharm the trip starts and where in Dahab you are staying. Expect police and military checkpoints along the South Sinai highway.
