Delivery means the company that owns the car brings it to the place and time you agree, instead of waiting for you at its own location. It applies to any car in the offer and to any hotel or address in Sharm El Sheikh: Naama Bay, Nabq, Sharks Bay, Hadaba, the Old Market, Montazah and other areas.

It is an added service, so renting without delivery is still possible if you prefer to collect the car yourself. You choose how to get the car in your request. Delivery is a separate item alongside the price per day and the deposit. When you compare offers, compare the total cost: the daily rate times the number of days, delivery and, if needed, return at your hotel as well. If two cars have a similar daily price, the difference in delivery fee can decide the choice.

How to order delivery and agree the meeting point

Ordering is simple. Choose a car in the catalogue, open its page and send a request with your dates. In the request write the exact name of your hotel or, if it is not a hotel, the full address or a description of the place. Add the time you want the car. If you are flying in, add your landing time, because the plan for the day depends on the flight.

The company confirms the handover point in its reply. At a hotel that might be the entrance, the reception or the car park. Agree the exact meeting point in the reply and do not assume you know where the representative will appear. Save the contact number you receive in the reply.

Return and collection of the car at your hotel are also arranged in the request: say you want to return the car at the hotel and give the date and time. If you need extras such as a child seat, choose a car marked "Child seat on request" and mention the child's age in the request.

Distances in Sharm and the alternative: airport pick-up

If you rent with delivery on the day you arrive, it helps to know how far your hotel is from the airport. These are road estimates without traffic, so in practice the drive takes a little longer. From the airport to Naama Bay is about 11 to 14 km and 15 to 20 minutes, to Nabq about 8 km and 10 to 15 minutes, to Sharks Bay about 11 km and 15 minutes, to Montazah about 13 km and 15 to 20 minutes, to the Old Market about 20 km and 20 to 25 minutes, and to Hadaba and Ras Um Sid about 23 to 25 km and 25 to 30 minutes.

Documents and deposit at handover

At handover have your passport and driving licence ready. According to our partners a national driving licence from any country is enough, for example Ukrainian, Russian or Saudi. Official advice from the UK Foreign Office (FCDO) and German and Austrian motoring clubs is to carry an International Driving Permit as well, because it is useful at police checks.

According to partners it is typically 300 to 500 US dollars or euros, and for an expensive car it can be about 1,000. Some companies accept your passport left with them for the rental period instead of cash. Then there is no deposit, so ask about it in your request.
