Renting a car for a month in Sharm El Sheikh is a different job from a few days of holiday: you are staying longer, you need the car every day and you want the cost of the whole month, not one day. How to rent a car in Sharm El Sheikh for a month

The process is simple and the same as for a short rental. Choose a car in the catalogue, open its page and send a request with the dates of the whole month: the pick-up day and the return day. The company that owns the car replies with the price for the full period. There is no online payment on the site, so sending a request does not commit you to anything.

You can ask for any car on the site, from a small city car to an SUV. There is no separate, shorter list of cars for monthly hire. It is worth saying in the request that you want it for a month and describing your plans: will you drive mostly around Sharm, or do you expect longer trips, for example to Dahab? That helps the company offer the right option.

Keep in mind that availability for a whole month depends on the company's calendar. If your chosen car is taken for part of the dates, pick another in the same class or shift the dates.

The monthly price: why it is on request

The platform owner confirmed one thing to us: there is no fixed monthly price. The company sets the price for each car separately and sends it in reply to your request. So we do not promise any monthly discount and we do not print figures that are not in the offer. The price-per-day table and the list of cheapest cars on this page are only a reference point for choosing a class.

How do you compare replies? Line them up for the same car or the same class and the same dates. Check what the price includes: insurance, mileage limit, any servicing during the month, delivery to your hotel. If one reply is far lower than the rest, make sure it is not because the terms are different.

Deposit and documents for a long stay

The deposit is set by the company that owns the car and is shown on the car's page before you send a request. According to our local partner companies in Sharm (October 2026) it is typically 300 to 500 US dollars or euros depending on the car, and for an expensive car it can be about 1,000. Some companies accept your passport left with them for the rental period instead of a cash deposit. In that case there is no deposit, so ask about it in your request.

Driving licence: according to the partners, a national driving licence from any country is enough. Official advice is a separate point. The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) and German and Austrian motoring clubs advise carrying an International Driving Permit together with your national licence, because it is useful at police checks.

For a long stay there is one more thing. According to the UK FCDO you can drive in Egypt on your foreign licence with an IDP for up to 6 months; for longer stays an Egyptian licence is required. Check this before you travel if you plan to stay beyond six months.

At road checkpoints it is sensible to keep your passport, licence and the car's papers within reach.

Visa for stays longer than 15 days

The visa decides whether you can stay a month at all. According to the UK FCDO, EU, UK and US citizens arriving at Sharm El Sheikh and staying in the Sinai resorts get a free entry stamp for up to 15 days. For a longer stay, or to travel outside the resorts, you need a visa, which you can get at Sharm El Sheikh airport or online.

According to the experience of our local partner companies in Sharm (October 2026), Russian and Ukrainian citizens receive the Sinai stamp for about one month, 28 to 30 days. Rules change, though. We checked this on 15 October 2026; check the current rules before you travel, for example with your airline or consulate.

Servicing, insurance and delivery to your hotel

A month-long rental raises natural questions: who handles a service or an oil change, what the insurance looks like, what happens in a breakdown. We do not describe one company's terms here because they differ from car to car. Put these questions in your request and ask the company to confirm them in the reply. It is also worth asking about the monthly mileage limit, the fuel policy and the procedure after an accident.
