Rixos Sharm El Sheikh Adults Only 18+ lies in Nabq Bay, about 13 km and 17 minutes without traffic from the airport by our estimate, against “8 km” on the hotel’s Accor page (checked 16 October 2026). Its wording on age is not entirely consistent, it has an older name that still turns up on vouchers, and a bigger family resort stands roughly a kilometre to the north. The notes below help you name the right one when you ask for a car. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page.
Distance: three figures that do not agree
Our estimate for this hotel is about 13 km and roughly 17 minutes without traffic, give or take 2 km. Accor writes “The resort is located 8 km from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport” and also lists “Close to the Airport” among the hotel extras, and the same page puts Naama Bay at 18 km, the old market at 25 km and the Sharm El Sheikh Museum at 15 km (checked 16 October 2026).
On OpenStreetMap the resort is drawn about 7.0 km from the airport in a straight line, which fits the hotel’s 8 km better than it fits our estimate. A road cannot be shorter than the straight line, so the real figure lies above 7 km; whether it is nearer 8 or nearer 13 we cannot confirm. Plan with the larger number, and let your airline’s advice, not either figure, decide when you leave for the return flight.
What “adults only” means on the official page
The Accor page carries “Adults Only 18+” in the hotel’s name and in its extras list, and describes a “luxury adults-only 18+ resort”. Under hotel information, however, it also says the hotel “accommodates Families and Couples Only 18+” and lists a Family Room category. Those lines do not contradict the age floor, but the wording is loose, so confirm with the hotel before you plan around it, above all if anyone in your party is under 18. A transport request does not change the hotel’s admission rules.
OpenStreetMap labels one point here “Rixos Sharm El Sheikh Adult Friendly” and gives the Rixos site address for it; the official Accor name is Adults Only 18+. We could not open the Rixos site to compare, so use the name on your voucher.
Former name and the other Rixos hotels
German Wikivoyage lists this hotel as formerly Premier Royal Grand Azure and describes it as a five-star adults hotel with 695 rooms and suites. Accor mentions no former name and states no room total. Rixos Premium Seagate, its neighbour to the north, has a different Grand Azure past, so “Grand Azure” alone on an old voucher does not tell you which of the two you booked.
The Accor page for this hotel advertises a “Stay at One, Enjoy at Two” offer with Premium Seagate, which means guests may use both resorts, and on the map the two are only about 1 km apart in a straight line. Rixos Radamis, with its own check-in from 15:00, is about 3 km to the south. Name the 18+ hotel in full when a car is needed.
Neighbours that sound alike
The hotels closest to this one on OpenStreetMap are Sharm Grand Plaza Resort at about 230 m, Club Magic Life at about 320 m, Parrotel Beach Resort at about 420 m and Aqua Hotel Resort & SPA at about 480 m, all straight-line. Park Inn by Radisson, tagged on the map with a Parrotel Aqua Park label as well, is about 600 m off. These are separate properties with their own arrivals; a driver who sees “Rixos” and “Sharm” in the request may still ask which one, so give the full name and Nabq Bay.
Lobbies and the hotel’s own shuttle
Accor mentions an “Old Lobby”, where the Rixos Lounge is, but says nothing about an arrival lobby, a gate or where cars stop; OpenStreetMap shows an entertainment centre and several unlabelled gates around the site without marking a main one. We therefore name no entrance. Ask reception which lobby fits your room, and write it into the request.
Accor lists a “Shuttle” as “Additional charge”, with no route, schedule or fee, and does not say it goes to the airport (checked 16 October 2026; check before you travel). Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out up to 12:00. Private beach and pool cabanas with butler service cost extra at the hotel and are not part of a transfer.
