Sharm El Sheikh Airport to Steigenberger Alcazar: Transfer and Taxi
Steigenberger Alcazar stands at the far north end of Nabq Bay, about 17 km from Sharm El Sheikh airport, roughly 21 minutes without traffic (our estimate). The hotel's own page gives a shorter figure, 12.3 km, and we show both below. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page; write the hotel name exactly as in the heading when you send the request.
Two distances: the hotel's and ours
The hotel's location page says "12.3 km to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport (SSH)", and its main page says the hotel is "just 15 minutes" from the airport. Our estimate for the north end of Nabq Bay is about 17 km and roughly 21 minutes without traffic, with a margin of about 2 km and a range of 19 to 26 minutes. The two figures differ by around five kilometres and six minutes.
We plan by the longer one. If the real drive turns out shorter, nothing is lost; if you build a connecting plan around the shorter figure and the road is slower, you do. In OpenStreetMap coordinates the straight-line distance from the airport terminal area to the hotel point is about 10 km, which is only a lower bound because the road does not run in a straight line (straight-line, OSM coordinates).
Which hotel: the exact name for your request
The official name is Steigenberger Alcazar, and the official address line is "Nabq Bay South Sinai Sharm El Sheikh", with no street or number. Booking engines and some sellers shorten it to Alcazar or Steigenberger Alcazar Sharm. Write Steigenberger Alcazar and add Nabq Bay; that separates it from the other large resorts on the same strip.
The hotel belongs to the Steigenberger group, whose booking pages now sit under the H Rewards brand. This page is about this one hotel only; Steigenberger has other hotels in Egypt, none of which is on this road. OpenStreetMap shows the hotel only as a single point with five stars, not as an outlined property, so the map does not tell us where the fence or the reception building is.
Neighbours on the Nabq strip
Several resorts stand within a few hundred metres, which matters when a driver is looking for the right turn. In OpenStreetMap, straight-line from the Alcazar point: the Royal Albatros Moderna outline is about 190 to 230 m away, Jaz Mirabel Club about 320 m, a hotel mapped as Barcelo about 330 m, Jaz Mirabel Resort about 470 m, Tiran Sharm about 500 m, Nubia Sharm about 630 m and Sea Beach Aqua Park about 730 m.
A gate called Tropicana Sea Beach gate is mapped about 530 m away, and an entrance tagged as main sits about 510 m away, but neither is labelled as belonging to Steigenberger Alcazar, so we do not present either as its entrance. The hotel describes itself as minutes from Naama Bay and the city centre; from the north end of Nabq that is a separate drive, not a walk.
Arrival: gate and reception
The hotel's own information does not describe the entrance, the barrier or the place where cars stop, and no entrance for it is labelled in OpenStreetMap (checked 16 October 2026). Do not assume it shares a gate with a neighbour. Ask the hotel reception where a car should stop, and add the answer, along with your flight number and the number of suitcases, to the request.
The official page lists check-in on the day of arrival from 2:00 pm. If your flight lands in the morning, the room may not be ready on arrival, and that is a question for the hotel, not for the car.
The hotel's own shuttle and limousine, and a private car
The location page says the hotel offers a "shuttle bus and a private limousine" and that guests arrange transfers by contacting the hotel. It states no conditions and no fee, so we cannot tell you what either costs or whether a shuttle meets every flight; ask the hotel before you travel (checked 16 October 2026).
A private transfer booked here is a separate arrangement: one car for your group, priced per car on the airport transfer page. The car card shows "Child seat on request"; mention a child seat, and the ages of the children, in the request.
Check-out and the return trip
The official page gives check-out on the day of departure until 12:00 pm. A late check-out is not described there, so ask the hotel if your flight is in the evening. For the drive back to the airport, plan by the longer figure above, about 21 minutes without traffic by our estimate, and leave at the time your airline advises for check-in at Sharm El Sheikh airport.
For the return, write the hotel name, the room number or the name on the booking, and the flight time in the request.
What the hotel says about itself
The page describes "Refined Red Sea Living in Nabq Bay", 35,000 sqm of private beachfront, three heated pools, two children's pools with a kids club, a spa area and a water sports and diving centre. No aqua park is mentioned. Children aged 12 and older are charged as adults according to the same page. Twelve room listings appear on the official page; the hotel does not give a total number of rooms there, so we do not quote one.
Transfer terms: name sign, waiting, night price, cancellation
These are the standard terms of our transfer partners (November 2026). The company confirms the details for your trip when it accepts the request.
Name sign: on request, the driver meets you with a sign showing your name. Ask for it when you book.
Free waiting: up to 30 minutes.
Night price: the same as the day price, with no night surcharge.
Cancellation: free. Nothing is paid in advance, so just tell the company at least 24 hours before the pickup time.
