Sharm El Sheikh Airport to Cleopatra Luxury Resort: Transfer
Cleopatra Luxury Resort Sharm El Sheikh is a family resort with 324 rooms and suites in Nabq Bay, about 13 km from the airport, roughly 16 minutes without traffic (our estimate). Its official pages give no airport distance, and the same group runs a separate Adults Only hotel. This page sets out which is which, what the hotel says about arrival and departure, and which neighbours are easy to confuse with it. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page.

Distance: our estimate, and what the hotel does not say
We estimate about 13 km and roughly 16 minutes without traffic from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, with a margin of about 2 km. Across the whole of Nabq Bay the airport run is between roughly 10 and 17 km, and this resort sits in the middle of the beach strip, so the middle figure is the sensible one. German Wikivoyage places the hotel at about 28°1′19″ N, 34°26′16″ E, and OpenStreetMap draws the resort around 28.0219 N, 34.4377 E (checked 16 October 2026).
None of the three official pages we read, the family hotel page, its policies page and the group contact page, states a distance or a driving time to the airport. The only address line reads "Sharm El Sheikh – Nabq Bay South Sinai, Egypt", with no street name and no number. We therefore give our own estimate and do not quote any figure as the hotel's own. Plan by the 16 minutes plus the walk from the terminal to the car, and add margin for the way back.
Which Cleopatra: family resort or Adults Only
The official group site lists exactly two hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, and the contact page gives both the Nabq Bay address (checked 16 October 2026). One is Cleopatra Luxury Resort Sharm Sheikh, the family hotel this page is about, with 324 rooms and suites. The other is Cleopatra Luxury Resort Sharm – Adults Only, which the official page describes as a retreat reserved for adults, with 192 rooms, swim-up rooms and four adult pools. Its beach is described as a nearby private beach reached by a shuttle running through the day.
The Google Maps links on the two official pages point to places only about 90 m apart (straight-line, coordinates in the links), yet neither page says whether the hotels share grounds, a gate or a reception. So we do not say so either. Write the full name from your voucher in the request, and ask the hotel which entrance suits your wing. The official site also lists two Makadi Bay hotels and others elsewhere in Egypt; they are different destinations. We found no Sharm property called "Cleopatra Luxury Beach Resort" on the official site.
Names on maps: the Collection and the Aquarium
The official pages show no former name for the family resort, and OpenStreetMap carries no old_name tag for it. What you may see on a map is a different label: OpenStreetMap names the resort Cleopatra Luxury Resort Collection, with the web address cleopatraluxurysharm.com, and it also holds a hotel-tagged point called Cleopatra Sharm Aquarium, operated by the resort, about 0.3 km to the north-west of the main pin. The official pages never use the word Aquarium, so we cannot say what that point marks, and we would not put it in a request.
If a driver or navigation app offers several Cleopatra results, choose the one that matches the official name and the Nabq Bay address, and confirm with reception before you set off. A wrong pin costs you time at a bay where the hotels stand shoulder to shoulder.
The hotel's own transfer, and what it does not say
The family resort page, its policies page and the contact page do not mention an airport transfer, a shuttle from the airport or its terms (checked 16 October 2026). The policies page of the Adults Only hotel mentions a limousine service that guests arrange by contacting the hotel, without saying whether it covers the airport, what it costs or whether it also applies to the family resort. We therefore cannot tell you that a hotel shuttle exists, whether it is free, or how it is booked; ask the hotel before you travel.
A private car arranged through us is a car for your party. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page, and you give the flight number, the passengers and the luggage in the request. If your holiday was sold as a package, ask the tour operator whether any transfer is already part of it, so that you do not pay for two.
Layout that matters when you arrive
The resort has six swimming pools by its own count, among them a heated Active Pool of about 1,000 m², an infinity pool and a quiet Family Suite Pool, plus two children's pools and a Hippo Kids Club. The beach has a 120 m jetty and is described as lying in the waters of Nabq National Park. The pages give no walking time from the rooms to the sea, so do not assume the car can stop close to your room.
Three accessible rooms, two deluxe pool-view rooms and one superior garden-view room, are on the ground floor close to Reception. The page lists access ramps, a lift in the Main Building and a complimentary club car within the resort on request. A Family Suite of 146 m² sleeps up to four adults and two children and stands in a private zone overlooking a pool. For a wheelchair user, a pushchair or many cases, say so in the request.
Check-in, check-out, documents and parking
The policies page gives check-in at 14:00 and check-out at 12:00 (checked 16 October 2026). Early check-in starts at 08:00, subject to availability on arrival, and a late check-out is offered for an extra charge, subject to availability on the day. A birth certificate is required for each child at check-in, and at most two children can share the parents' room, so keep those papers in your hand luggage, not in the boot.
Free private parking is stated on site with no reservation, and guests arriving by their own car can ask the hotel for directions. Restaurants ask for smart casual dress at dinner, and shorts and swimsuits are not allowed in them. For the return, take the departure time from your airline, tell reception the day before and leave as your airline advises.
Neighbours along the Nabq strip
On the map, the nearest hotels to the north are Nubian Village, about 0.2 km, and Nubian Island, about 0.25 km, then Parrotel Beach Resort at about 0.4 km, Sharm Grand Plaza Resort at about 0.6 km and Aqua Hotel Resort & SPA at about 0.9 km. To the south lie Rehana Royal Beach at about 0.25 km, Tamra Beach Resort at about 0.4 km and Hauza Beach Resort at about 0.7 km (straight-line, OpenStreetMap coordinates). The coordinates in German Wikivoyage give the same order, with the two Nubian hotels on one side and Rehana Royal and Tamra on the other.
OpenStreetMap shows one unnamed gate about 0.3 km north-west, and no gate or entrance carries this hotel's name, so we do not say which one the car uses. Ask reception which entrance suits your room and put the answer in the request.
