Sharm El Sheikh Airport to Rixos Premium Seagate: Transfer

Rixos Premium Seagate stands in Nabq Bay, about 14 km and 18 minutes without traffic from the airport by our estimate, while the hotel’s own Accor page says 9 km (checked 16 October 2026). It is the family hotel of two large Rixos resorts that sit about a kilometre apart, and the other one takes adults only. This page sets out that gap in distances, the older names, the hotel’s shuttle and the neighbours that are easy to mix up. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page.

Distance: our estimate, the hotel’s figure and the map

Our area model puts Premium Seagate at about 14 km and roughly 18 minutes without traffic from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, with a margin of about 2 km. The hotel’s Accor page is more generous to the airport: it says the resort is “9 km from Sharm El-Sheikh Airport”, and the same page gives 18 km to Naama Bay and 25 km to the old market (checked 16 October 2026). German Wikivoyage places the Nabq Bay resorts roughly 7.5 km north of the airport.

We also measured on OpenStreetMap: from the airport area to the point where the hotel is drawn it is about 7.4 km in a straight line, and a road is always longer than that. Three sources therefore point to a shorter trip than our model does, and the gap is wider than our margin. We cannot say which figure is closer, so plan with the longer one and treat the shorter ones as a best case. Whichever is right, the car is booked per vehicle, not per kilometre on this page.

Which Rixos: the family hotel, the 18+ hotel and Fun & Sun

Premium Seagate and Rixos Sharm El Sheikh Adults Only 18+ are separate resorts with separate Accor pages. On OpenStreetMap their centres are about 1 km apart, the adults-only one lying to the south. Seagate is the one that, in Accor’s words, “accommodates Families and Couples only” and has a children’s club called Rixy Club; the adults-only page, for its part, advertises a “Stay at One, Enjoy at Two” offer shared with Seagate. A booking in one of them does not mean the other is the right drop-off.

A third name can confuse a driver: Fun & Sun, listed by Wikivoyage as “managed by Rixos Premium” and formerly Tropicana Azure Club, is drawn about 260 m west of the Seagate point on OpenStreetMap. Rixos Radamis is a different site again, some 3.7 km to the south in the same coordinates. Write Rixos Premium Seagate, Nabq Bay in the request, exactly as on your voucher.

Former names: Grand Azure and Tropicana

Wikivoyage lists the hotel as formerly Tropicana Grand Azure Resort and LTI Grand Azure Resort. Accor’s page does not mention a former name, so older maps, vouchers and tour-operator brochures may still carry Grand Azure; you may also see Rixos Seagate. The adults-only neighbour has a similar history under another name, Premier Royal Grand Azure, so a voucher that says only “Grand Azure” is ambiguous. If your paperwork uses an old name, ask the hotel which of the two Rixos it refers to before you send the request.

The word Tropicana is a trap in a second way: Sea Beach Aqua Park Resort, a four-star hotel about 2.1 km to the north on OpenStreetMap, is listed by Wikivoyage under the alternative names Tropicana Sea Beach and Tropicana Sea Gate. It is not a Rixos.

The hotel’s own shuttle

Accor lists a “Shuttle” among the transport services of Premium Seagate and marks it “Additional charge” (checked 16 October 2026; check before you travel). The page gives no timetable, no amount and no statement that the shuttle runs to the airport, so we cannot tell you whether it meets flights. Ask the hotel directly before assuming it does.

A private car arranged through us is a vehicle booked for your party, not a seat on a hotel bus. Enter your flight number and the number of passengers in the request. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page, and “Child seat on request” appears on a car’s page when one can be offered.

A large site and no sourced entrance

Accor describes seven pools, an Aquaventure Park, a ladies’ spa, 13 restaurants and 8 bars, and lists room, suite and villa categories without a total; Wikivoyage counts 631 rooms, mostly doubles. OpenStreetMap shows the property as one large outline with many separate building entrances and several gates around it, some tagged private, none identified as the hotel’s arrival gate.

We found no official or map source that says which entrance or lobby a car should use, so we do not name one. Ask reception which entrance suits your room and put the answer into your request. Accor lists the hotel as wheelchair accessible, while OpenStreetMap tags access as limited; if anyone needs a step-free arrival, say so in the request and confirm with the hotel.

Check-in, check-out and the return trip

Accor gives check-in from 14:00 and check-out up to 12:00 (checked 16 October 2026). Rixos Radamis, the third Rixos in town, lists check-in from 15:00, so do not carry its time over. Accor does not describe a late check-out for Seagate; if your flight is in the evening, ask the hotel to store your luggage or extend the room. For the way back, set the pick-up time as your airline advises and tell reception the evening before.
