Sharm El Sheikh Airport to Novotel Sharm El Sheikh: Transfer and Taxi
Novotel Sharm El Sheikh stands in Naama Bay, about 14 km from the airport, roughly 18 minutes without traffic (our estimate). It is one hotel with two room wings, Palm and Beach, and the wing is worth writing into your request. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page once you enter the hotel.
One hotel, two wings: Palm and Beach
The official Accor page treats Novotel Sharm El Sheikh as a single hotel and sorts its rooms by wing. Standard rooms are in the Palm wing, with garden or pool side; superior rooms are in the Beach wing, with garden, pool, beach or sea side; the family suite with a separate bunk-bed room for children is listed in the Palm wing. Junior suites and superior suites, the latter sleeping up to four, are listed with sea, beach or pool views.
OpenStreetMap draws the two wings as separate hotels, Novotel Beach and Novotel Palm, and the Palm outline lies roughly 200-320 m from the Beach outline (straight-line, OSM coordinates). Wikivoyage in German lists the Palm as its own entry as well. Whether the Palm wing has a separate reception or gate is not described in anything we read, so write the wing from your voucher in the request and ask the hotel (checked 16 October 2026, check before you travel).
The exact name and the old one
The official name is Novotel Sharm El Sheikh, and the address on the Accor page is simply "Naama Bay, 46619 Sharm El Sheikh", with no street name. The same page gives GPS coordinates of 27.914611, 34.331555, which fall close to the Beach side in OpenStreetMap.
The hotel was formerly Novotel Coralia Sharm; Wikivoyage in German records that name, and the official page does not mention it. If an old voucher or map shows Coralia, it is this property. Do not mix it up with the Marriott Mountain hotel, which OpenStreetMap places only about 190 m from the Palm wing, or with other Naama Bay resorts with similar beach names.
Distance: our estimate and the hotel's wording
Our estimate is about 14 km and roughly 18 minutes without traffic, with a margin of about 2 km. The official page gives no figure at all; it says only that the hotel is a "few minutes" from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport (checked 16 October 2026, check before you travel).
A few minutes and 14 km do not fit together, so we do not repeat the hotel's phrase. Plan on the figure above, and treat the hotel's phrase as a general description.
Arrival and the hotel's own transfer
OpenStreetMap shows only one untagged barrier gate in the vicinity, about 440 m north of the Palm wing, and nothing marked as an entrance of the hotel, so we cannot say where a car stops. The official page does not describe the entrance; ask reception which side the driver should use and add the answer to your request.
The Accor page has a transport block with taxi and limousine lines, but the values did not appear in the page we read, and it describes no airport shuttle, fee or booking rule. If you want to compare with the hotel's own arrangement, ask the hotel by e-mail at the address on the Accor page.
Check-in, check-out and the return
Check-in on the official page is from 3:00 PM and check-out up to 12:00 PM. A morning arrival may therefore find the room not yet ready, which is a question for reception. The page lists a Kids Club, heated pools including an adult-only pool, a spa with hammam, a private beach and a diving option, and its services mention that the hotel is wheelchair accessible and pets are welcome.
For the flight home, leave when your airline advises you to be at the airport. The page says nothing about late check-out, so for an evening flight ask the hotel whether the room can be kept.
Around the hotel
In OpenStreetMap coordinates the nearest named neighbours are Naama Bay Promenade Beach Resort at about 160 m, Sinai Sunset at about 170-330 m, Tropicana Rosetta at about 240-290 m, Marriott Mountain at 190-380 m and Jaz Sharm Dreams at about 400-520 m (straight-line, OSM coordinates). The hotel's own page names La Palma among its restaurants and describes itself as overlooking the Red Sea in Naama Bay.
Tell the driver Naama Bay and the full name Novotel Sharm El Sheikh rather than only "Novotel" or a neighbour's name.
