Sharm Airport to Four Seasons Resort: Transfer and Main Gate
Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh is a hillside resort above the Red Sea in Sharks Bay. Its own directions page gives 7.5 km and 10 minutes by car from the airport, while our estimate is about 10 km and 13 minutes (checked 16 October 2026). The resort also states that external taxis may not enter its gate, which shapes how an arrival is planned. This page covers the figures, the gate rule, the resort’s own transfers and the layout. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page.

Distance: the resort’s figure and ours
The resort’s getting-here page lists Sharm El Sheikh International Airport at 10 minutes by car and 7.5 km, and its press facts page also says “10 minutes from Sharm El Sheikh International Airport” (checked 16 October 2026). Our own estimate for the Sharks Bay area is about 10 km and 13 minutes without traffic, with a margin of about 2 km. The gap of 2.5 km is slightly beyond that margin, so the resort’s route may be shorter than the one we assume.
On Wikivoyage coordinates the resort lies only about 2.2 km from the airport in a straight line. Plan by our longer figure and add the time to leave the terminal. The route to the resort climbs, because the resort describes itself as perched on a hill overlooking the Red Sea.
The exact name, the address and the look-alikes
The resort gives its address as 1 Four Seasons Boulevard, P.O. Box 203, Sharm El Sheikh, South Sinai. In the request write Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh in full, because Four Seasons also lists other hotels in Egypt. Wikivoyage files the resort under White Knight, while our own data and most listings place it in Sharks Bay; it is the same place.
Several other hotels stand close by on Wikivoyage coordinates (straight lines, a rough guide only): Savoy about 0.5 km, Royal Savoy about 0.6 km, SOHO Square about 0.6 km, Sunrise Island View about 0.7 km and Concorde El Salam Front Area about 0.9 km away. Each is a separate hotel with its own entrance, so a car sent to the wrong one adds a detour on a hillside road.
The gate rule for outside cars
The resort’s getting-here page says: “For the safety and security of our guests, external taxis are not permitted to enter the resort gate. Guests arriving by taxi will be dropped off at the main gate, where our team will gladly assist with onward transportation to the lobby.” (checked 16 October 2026; check before you travel).
The page speaks of taxis and says nothing about a pre-booked private car, so we cannot say whether such a car is let in. Ask the resort before you fly how it treats a booked outside car, and write its answer in the request. We do not describe the main gate beyond what the resort states.
The resort’s own airport transfers
The same page offers a limousine for the airport transfer, booked through the Concierge, where the page notes that fees apply, a premium fast-track service in which a representative meets guests inside the terminal at the passport check-in area, and one-way car transfers. For the cars it lists, a Mercedes E180 or S500 carries three adults and three pieces of luggage each way and a Kia Carnival minivan six adults and five pieces. These are the resort’s own capacities and no prices are quoted on the page.
A private car arranged through us is a separate arrangement. You compare the price per car on the airport transfer page, add your flight number, passengers and bags in the request and ask the resort about the gate. For a large party with many suitcases, check the luggage count against the car you choose.
Layout of the resort and what it means on arrival
The resort’s press page says it is “nestled between the Red Sea and desert mountain peaks”, with 1 km of private beachfront, four outdoor pools, more than 3,000 palm trees and “two funiculars” that carry guests down from the peak to the beach. It opened in May 2002 and lists 289 rooms: 169 guest rooms, 64 chalets and villas, 52 suites and 4 signature suites. Wikivoyage counts 238 rooms and describes a resort on a slope, so the figures differ; we use the resort’s own.
The pages we read do not describe buggies, an internal shuttle or door-to-room access, so do not assume them. Tell the resort if someone has trouble with steps, and ask which part of the resort your room is in, as a chalet or villa may be far from the lobby.
Check-in, visas and the return
Wikivoyage lists check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00; the resort’s pages we could open do not state them, so confirm with the resort. The resort also says an Egyptian visa is required for most travellers and that visitors from some countries flying directly to Sharm El Sheikh do not need one for a stay in the resort (checked 16 October 2026; check before you travel).
For the return, give the hotel name in full and leave for the airport as your airline advises. Say in the request where you will meet the car, since outside cars may not enter the gate, and mention if a child seat is needed: “Child seat on request” is shown on a car’s page when available.
