Sharm El Sheikh city tour by car with a private driver
A Sharm El Sheikh city tour by car with a driver is an easy way to see the resort town on your own, without a coach and without the pace of someone else's group. Above you can see the price of a car with driver for each bookable duration. Below we suggest an order for the areas, give the distances between them and explain what to agree with the driver. We do not describe individual attractions, opening hours or entry fees, because we have not checked them. Distances are rounded road estimates without traffic, checked on 15 October 2026.
Car with driver by the hour
Cheapest current price per vehicle for each bookable duration, driver included.

How a city tour by car with a driver works
You book a car with a driver for the number of hours you choose. The price is per vehicle, not per person, so a family or a group of friends shares one price, and the current prices for each duration are shown on this page. The driver is not a licensed guide, so prepare the background on the places yourself or arrange a guide separately. What you get is control: you decide where to stop, for how long and in which order. That is different from an agency excursion, where the programme and times are the same for everyone. If you only need a short drive around town, see also car with driver by the hour.
The areas of Sharm El Sheikh and the distances between them
The town is stretched along the coast. From Naama Bay it is about 9 km and 10 minutes to the Old Market, about 11 km and 11 minutes to Hadaba, about 12 km and 15 minutes to Ras Um Sid, about 11 km and 14 minutes to Sharks Bay, about 13 km and 15 minutes to Montazah and about 18 km and 17 minutes to Nabq Bay. The airport is about 8 km from Nabq Bay and about 11 to 14 km from Naama Bay. In real life speed bumps, evening traffic and checks add time, so keep a margin. Police check ID on the roads, so take your passport.
A suggested order for the route
The simplest plan is to drive in one direction. You can start in the north-east at Nabq Bay, move through Montazah and Sharks Bay, stop in Naama Bay and finish in the south-west at Hadaba, Ras Um Sid and the Old Market. That way you never backtrack. In the evening the Old Market and Naama Bay work better as the last stops than as the first, but this is only a suggestion, not a fixed programme. If you are short of time, pick two or three areas instead of all of them. The legs between the areas add up to roughly an hour of driving, and stops take the rest of the time.
What to agree with the driver
Write the start time, the hotel, the number of people and the list of areas in your preferred order in the request. Ask whether the driver waits at each stop and how a long stop is counted. Waiting time is not guaranteed in advance, so ask for confirmation. If you travel with a child, give the age so that a car marked Child seat on request can be chosen. Entry tickets, meals and shopping are paid separately on the spot. The booking step shows what the price of the vehicle with driver includes, so read it before you send the request.
How many hours to book
One area with a coffee break fits a short booking. Three areas at an unhurried pace suggest half a day. A full loop from Nabq Bay to the Old Market with lunch needs a longer booking. The page shows the price for each bookable duration, so compare them with your plan. If you want to go further, for example to Dahab, read the page on excursions on your own. For the airport it is better to book a separate airport transfer.
