Transfer to a dive centre in Sharm El Sheikh with luggage and dive gear
A transfer to a dive centre in Sharm El Sheikh differs from an ordinary airport run mostly in the luggage and the clock. Dive bags are bulky, and boats often leave very early in the morning. Above you can see a price table for airport transfers to each area of the town, and below we explain how to choose a car, what to agree in the request and how the Sinai stamp works if you join a safari or a liveaboard. We do not name dive centres. Distances are rounded estimates without traffic, and the visa information was checked on 15 October 2026.

Who a dive centre transfer is for
It is for people who fly to Sharm El Sheikh to dive and want to go straight from the airport to the hotel or the centre without negotiating with taxis. It also suits divers who need an early pick-up from the hotel on a dive day and do not want to look for a car at the last minute. A driver comes with every transfer and the price is per vehicle, not per person, so a group of divers shares one price. The table above shows the current lowest price from the airport to the selected area. Pick the area where your hotel or centre is and compare the prices.
Choosing a car for dive gear
A gear bag takes far more space in a boot than an ordinary suitcase. So on the offer card look at the number of bags, not only the seats. If two divers travel with two gear bags and two suitcases, consider a minivan instead of a sedan. Count honestly, including hand luggage and a camera, and keep a margin. For a larger group see the minivan page. The company confirms the exact car after your request, so list what you carry in the request, for example gear bags, tanks or a large suitcase.
Early departures and a fixed pick-up time
Dive boats often leave early in the morning, so agree the hotel pick-up time with the centre and write it in the request. Ask the company to confirm the time and the meeting point, for example the harbour or the centre. Ask what time the driver will be at the hotel and how to reach them. We do not assume either. For an airport transfer you can add your flight number on the booking step. For short hops inside town, we count about 9 km and 10 minutes from Naama Bay to the Old Market and about 11 km and 11 minutes from Naama Bay to Hadaba, without traffic.
The Sinai stamp and safari or liveaboard boats
Many tourists who arrive at Sharm El Sheikh receive the free Sinai entry stamp, which the UK FCDO says covers the resorts of Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba for stays under 15 days. One Sharm dive operator wrote in October 2025 that safari and liveaboard trips need a full visa regardless of where the boat goes. That is one company's account, not an official rule, so check the current rules before you travel and ask your own centre. The visa at the airport costs 30 US dollars according to the FCDO. For Russian and Ukrainian citizens, our local partner companies in Sharm (October 2026) report a stamp of about one month.
Ras Mohammed by sea and by land
Diving at Ras Mohammed is a topic of its own. The park gate is about 19 km from Naama Bay and about 29 km from the airport. Whether the Sinai stamp covers the park is disputed: one dive operator says it does, by land and by sea, while older sources say it does not. We found no current official text (checked 15 October 2026), so check before you travel. A physical passport is useful at the park gate. More about the park is in the Ras Mohammed guide.
