Minivan with driver in Sharm El Sheikh for families and small groups
A minivan with a driver is the practical answer when a normal car is too small: a family with children, five to seven people together, or a smaller group with a lot of luggage. Above you can see the minivans that are available now, with photos, seats and the lowest airport transfer price for the class. Below is how to choose between them and what to put in your request.

Who needs a minivan
A standard sedan is comfortable for two or three people with normal suitcases. Once you are a family of four or five, travel with prams, or bring diving or golf equipment, space becomes the issue rather than comfort. A minivan keeps the group in one vehicle, so nobody has to split across two taxis and arrive at different times. It also suits groups of friends who want one price to share and one driver who knows where everyone is going. If you are eight or more people, look at the minibus page instead.
Choose by the seats and bags shown on each offer
Different minivans on the page have different seat counts and boot space, and that is why each card shows the seats and bags for that specific vehicle. Count your passengers and your bags honestly, including hand luggage, and keep some margin: a car filled to the last seat with every suitcase on laps is not a comfortable transfer. Photos show the real vehicle category, but the company confirms the exact car after your request. The price is per vehicle with the driver, not per person, and the booking step shows what it includes.
Children, child seats and comfort
Ordinary street taxis do not provide child seats, but a car with a child seat is possible through our partner companies. Choose an offer marked Child seat on request and write the child's age in the request so the right seat can be prepared. Tell the company how many children and how many adults travel. Drivers and front-seat passengers must wear seat belts according to the UK FCDO, so we recommend that everyone buckles up on Egyptian roads, where driving conditions vary. Ask about the air conditioning and the luggage plan if you travel in the heat of summer.
Airport transfers and day trips by minivan
The most common use is the airport. As rounded road estimates without traffic, the airport is about 11 to 14 km and 15 to 20 minutes from Naama Bay, about 8 km from Nabq Bay and about 20 km from the Old Market. Add your flight number on the booking step so the company knows your arrival time. A minivan is equally practical for a day with several stops or an excursion to Dahab, Ras Mohammed or Mount Sinai; see the excursions page for distances and the passport checks on those roads. For a standard transfer with fewer people, airport transfer shows the smaller classes.
Minivan, sedan or minibus: how to decide
As a rule of thumb, a sedan suits up to three people with normal bags, a minivan suits larger families and groups of about five to seven, and a minibus suits eight and more. The seat and bag figures on each offer override the rule of thumb, so read them. If you are only four people but travel with a lot of luggage, a minivan can still be the better choice. If you are close to the limit of a class, take the next one up, because a few extra seats cost less than a cramped journey.
What to put in your request
Send the date and time, the pick-up and drop-off addresses or hotels, the number of adults and children, the number of bags and anything large, and a flight number for airport pick-ups. Add any stops you want on the way and the child's age if you need a seat. The more precise the request, the faster the company can confirm the vehicle. After you send it, the company confirms the vehicle and the booking step shows what the price includes.
