Nabq Bay to Naama Bay and other distances between Sharm El Sheikh areas
Nabq Bay to Naama Bay is about 18 to 20 km, roughly 17 to 20 minutes by car without traffic. Sharm El Sheikh is stretched along the coast and the areas are many kilometres apart, so it helps to know the real journey time before you book a hotel. Every figure below is a computed road estimate without traffic (OpenStreetMap/OSRM, 15 October 2026), rounded. Real times can be longer because of traffic, speed bumps and checkpoints.

Nabq Bay to Naama Bay: distance and time
From Naama Bay to Nabq Bay it is about 18 km and about 17 minutes; the other way about 20 km and about 19 minutes. The difference comes from one-way streets and the exact point used. For planning, allow 18 to 20 km and 20 minutes. From Nabq to the airport it is much shorter, about 9 km and 11 minutes.
The route follows the main coastal road. We do not give taxi prices because there is no reliable official fare board and the amount depends on the day and the negotiation. For indicative airport fares, see the page on airport taxi prices by area.

How to get between areas: microbus, taxi, app or car
For short hops within one area (a few kilometres) a taxi or an app is the easiest option. Street taxis have no meter, so you agree the fare before you get in. According to our local partner companies in Sharm (October 2026), Careem and inDrive work in Sharm and Uber does not. Driver availability late at night can vary. Wikivoyage describes local microbuses running a fixed north to south route along the resort with a detour to Hadaba, but we found no official routes or fares, so ask the driver or your hotel. More in our guide to getting around Sharm.
For trips of about 15 to 30 km, such as Nabq Bay to the Old Market, or if you make several trips in a day, a rental car or a driver can be the better choice. The UK Foreign Office advises not driving outside main cities and resorts at night, and suggests care with taxis when travelling alone in the evening. The current lowest price per vehicle is shown on the offer page.
