Bus Sharm El Sheikh airport and beyond: Go Bus, East Delta, Super Jet, routes and stations

Short answer: long-distance buses leave from Sharm El Sheikh, but we found no confirmation of a public bus from the airport terminal. This guide rests only on what the operators' own sites show and a few 2026 overviews, checked 15 October 2026. We give no ticket prices because we could not confirm them reliably: check the live fare in the operator's app. If you are looking for how to get from the airport to your hotel, see our guide with all the options, our taxi page and our transfer page.

Airport bus or a private transfer to your destination?

Check where the bus actually departs before planning a connection from SSH. A city bus station is not the airport terminal. Allow for baggage collection and the journey to the departure point; if the connection is unsuitable, compare a private airport transfer for the full trip.

Which operators serve Sharm El Sheikh

On the official Go Bus site, the city list in the booking widget includes Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Alexandria, Ras Sedr, Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba and Taba Heights, among other cities in the country. From a static page, though, it is not possible to verify that each pair, for example Sharm and Hurghada, is actually sold. St Catherine does not appear in Go Bus's list.

Super Jet shows Sharm El Sheikh as a featured destination, with one station called Sharm Rowaysat. Its destination list includes Cairo (several stations, including the airport), Alexandria, Hurghada, Suez, El Tor, Safaga, Luxor and the North Coast, but not Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba or St Catherine.

The 2026 timetable overview by Ask Aladdin also names East Delta and Blue Bus for Cairo and Sharm, and East Delta and local operators for Sharm to Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba. The official East Delta and Blue Bus sites gave us no usable data, so routes and prices of those two operators are not verified.

Stops and the station in Sharm

According to Go Bus data, the stops in and around Sharm are Sharm Gobus Station and Arabsat in Nabq, which is the Nabq pick-up, as well as Royssat, meaning Rowaysat. Super Jet has the station Sharm Rowaysat. We did not find exact street addresses.

An older version of Wikivoyage places the East Delta bus station about 1 km from Peace Road. The text is dated, so treat it as a hint only. Ask Aladdin advises confirming which Sharm terminal your departure leaves from, because it names more than one place, for example Watania and Rowaysat. In practice: check the stop name on your ticket or in the app, and get there by taxi or transfer with time to spare.

Routes and travel times

To Cairo the bus takes about 6 to 8.5 hours according to Ask Aladdin, depending on direction and operator. Older or unofficial pages give other times, so this is a range, not a timetable. The road from Sharm to Cairo is about 500 km and takes about 6 to 7 hours by car including the tunnel and checkpoints.

On the coastal routes to Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba, Ask Aladdin names East Delta and local operators, with times from about 1.5 to 4 hours. A direct Sharm to Hurghada bus is not confirmed by any source: both operators serve both cities, but not as one pair, and the land route runs via Suez and Cairo. For St Catherine, the public bus is described by sources as unreliable. Plan to reach it by transfer, excursion or car.

Ticket prices: what we do not know

Operator timetables and fares load dynamically in their apps and sites, and we could not pull a reliable 2025 to 2026 fare table. Unofficial lists with fares in Egyptian pounds exist, but they conflict and come from low-authority sources. So we publish no price.

What to do: open the app or site of the operator you chose, enter route and date, and check the live fare and departure time. Do this before you travel, because the offer changes with the season. The data in this guide was checked on 15 October 2026.

From the airport and at checkpoints: what to plan

We did not confirm any public bus from the Sharm El Sheikh airport terminal to the hotels. The bus station is a separate place in town, so after landing you first need to reach the stop by taxi, app or transfer. Details and prices for getting from the airport are on the airport transfer, taxi and taxi prices by area pages.

Keep your passport with you, not in checked luggage: Sinai roads have checkpoints where police check ID, and Ask Aladdin also advises carrying passport or ID. A bus can make sense for a long leg to Cairo, Dahab or Taba. Inside Sharm, microbuses, taxis or a rental car are more practical.
