Sharm El Sheikh Airport to Park Regency Resort: Transfer and Taxi
Park Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort, the former Hyatt Regency, stands on the beach in Gardens Bay, about 16 km from Sharm El Sheikh airport, roughly 20 minutes without traffic (our estimate). The hotel quotes a shorter figure of its own, 10 km and 15 minutes, and both are explained below. The price per car is shown on the airport transfer page; write the name exactly as in the heading when you send the request.
Two distances: ours and the hotel's
On its transport page the hotel lists the airport run as "10 km / 15 minutes". Our estimate for Gardens Bay is about 16 km and roughly 20 minutes without traffic. Ours comes from an area model and carries a margin of about 2 km; the hotel's is its own statement. The gap is around six kilometres, and we do not try to settle it for you.
Plan the day by the longer figure. A drive that proves shorter costs you nothing, while a connection built on 15 minutes costs you if the road is slow. This is a distance to the hotel area, so treat both numbers as guides and not as a timetable (checked 16 October 2026; check before you travel).
The name to write: Park Regency, formerly Hyatt Regency
The official name is Park Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort, and the hotel's address line reads "Gardens Bay, P.O Box 58". Until the rebrand the same hotel was the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh. OpenStreetMap still carries the old name in its old_name tag, and Wikivoyage describes the hotel as "formerly Hyatt Regency". Older maps, driver habits and some timetables may still say Hyatt, so write both names in the request: Park Regency (ex Hyatt Regency).
Do not confuse it with Regency Plaza Aqua Park & Spa, a different hotel in Nabq Bay, far to the north. In the same Gardens Bay you will also find Sharm Plaza, formerly Crowne Plaza, which is another property.
Where the hotel sits in Gardens Bay
Park Regency is a beachfront five-star resort, according to our data and the hotel's own wording, "in the heart of Gardens Bay". OpenStreetMap places the building outline at about 27.917 N, 34.349 E and gives Peace Road as the street. The nearest mapped neighbour within 600 m is the Intercontinental, about 540 m away in a straight line (straight-line, OSM coordinates).
Gardens Bay is not within walking distance of Naama Bay, the SOHO Square promenade or the Old Market. For those the hotel runs its own paid shuttle, described below, so a private car is the other option for an evening out. The reef called Middle Garden, noted by Wikivoyage, lies in front of this resort, and the dive starts from the jetty.
Arrival: gate and reception
The hotel's own information does not describe the vehicle entrance, the barrier or where cars stop. OpenStreetMap shows many door-level entrances inside the grounds, one tagged main, and two permissive gate nodes about 175 m from the centre, but none is labelled as the car entrance, so we do not name one (checked 16 October 2026).
Ask reception which gate a car should use and add the answer to your request, together with the flight number and the number of suitcases. The hotel has a free self-parking lot for guests that takes cars and vans; it is meant for guests and for people attending an event.
The hotel shuttle, the limousine and a private car
The transport page says: "Shuttle bus service to all flights, against fees. Previous confirmation from the hotel is required." It also offers an "Airport limousine service on request; charges apply" and says the concierge can arrange a chauffeur-driven private car. No fee is stated for any of them, so we cannot say what they cost; ask the hotel before you travel.
A private transfer booked here is separate: one car for your party, priced per car on the airport transfer page, with the hotel name and flight in the request. The car card shows "Child seat on request"; give the child's age in the request.
Check-in, check-out and the return trip
The official rooms page gives check-in at 2:00 PM and check-out at 12:00 PM. A late check-out is not described there, so ask the hotel if your flight leaves in the evening. For the run back, use the longer figure of 20 minutes without traffic, and arrive at the airport when your airline advises.
In the return request write Park Regency, your room number or the name on the booking, and the flight time.
What the resort offers
The hotel names nine restaurants and bars, a Regency Club level, suites and private villas, adults-only swim-up rooms of 38 square metres, the Oasis Kids Club, a spa and wellness centre, a convention centre and a wedding service. The site does not give a reliable room total, so we quote none. Villas and the swim-up row mean the walk from reception can be long; mention heavy luggage when you arrive.
Transfer terms: name sign, waiting, night price, cancellation
These are the standard terms of our transfer partners (November 2026). The company confirms the details for your trip when it accepts the request.
Name sign: on request, the driver meets you with a sign showing your name. Ask for it when you book.
Free waiting: up to 30 minutes.
Night price: the same as the day price, with no night surcharge.
Cancellation: free. Nothing is paid in advance, so just tell the company at least 24 hours before the pickup time.
